The company TOKAS OLYMP FRUITS participated in the international food exhibition in New York, the Summer Fancy Food Show, with a positive outcome. Greek kiwis from Pieria took center stage at the international food exhibition in New York. TOKAS OLYMP FRUITS already exports kiwis across Europe, India, Latin America, and Canada, and has now agreed to start exporting to the United States as well. The company aims to export over 6,000,000 kilos of packaged kiwis next year. Strategic investments in high-level facilities and mechanical equipment, along with a focus on creating a pioneering business, have paid off, with TOKAS OLYMP FRUITS continually on an upward trajectory.
The Tokas family has a long-standing presence in the industry. Since 1985, the Tokas family began its involvement in trade, primarily reselling grains, and soon established the animal feed industry TOKAS CEREALS S.A. Their extensive experience in trade and methodical approach is considered the “valuable asset” for creating a new professional horizon. Over the past five years, leveraging their vast experience in trade and industry, the Tokas family decided to venture into the fruit export sector, specifically exporting kiwis. They established their own model and environmentally friendly industrial facility for kiwi preservation and processing.
The challenge was significant, and TOKAS OLYMP FRUITS has proven its ability to meet it. With successful participation in international exhibitions such as FRUIT LOGISTICA in Berlin, FRESKON in Thessaloniki, and recently the Summer Fancy Food Show in New York, TOKAS OLYMP FRUITS has already created a global network of clients and partners. Along with new markets, TOKAS OLYMP FRUITS is bolstering its growth arsenal with new investments exceeding 3 million euros within the framework of Measure 4.2 of the P.A.A. Baltatzis program, aiming for completion by the end of 2025. These investments focus again on kiwi processing and export. Specifically, a second model industrial unit for kiwi preservation and processing is being prepared, which will be environmentally friendly, with the goal of enabling TOKAS OLYMP FRUITS to serve an even larger customer base worldwide.
For the local community of Pieria, such investments are crucial for the county’s development. Furthermore, the country’s outward orientation through the export of agricultural products worldwide encourages the growth of the Greek economy itself. The vision of TOKAS OLYMP FRUITS is to be a continuously growing business according to global standards, and as its representatives state, “Our producers and employees are the heart of our business, they are our people, our team, together we create from Pieria for the entire world.”
